It was HOT, sticky and dusty but the lighting was beautiful in the orchards that mom and dad chose for thier little girls 6 mo. photo shoot.  I love photographing this age,  I so miss when my kids were little.  You don’t realize how fast they grow until they are almost grown.  So to all the parents out there with little ones slow down and enjoy them now because they will be in high school before you know it!  What a doll Miss O was.  I loved her big toothless smile!  See for yourself how sweet she is.

I tried to get her attention another way by peeking through the bushes..It was too funny she was smiling but couldn’t find me through the vines so she had somewhat of a perplexed look on her face.

Someone’s turning 3

My great niece turned 3 recently and I had the pleasure to take her 3 yr. pics.  We had fun doing a little mother daughter session as well.

Such a doll face

Sweetness x 3…

I always enjoy meeting new clients and their darling little ones.  I had the pleasure of meeting these three adorable girls last weekend.  This session was fun, however, challenging.  A lesson learned, when shooting 3 toddlers stick to one location, 2 max…  I have to give kudos for moms and grandma for hanging in there as I drug them around the valley.  That being said, I love how these images in the orchard came out, so soft and springy.  Enjoy!

I just love these dimples!

The H Family

March 20, 2011

I always enjoy meeting new people especially when they are as sweet as this family.    We went back to the orchard I found the other day to take advantage of the blossoms before they’re gone.  Then we ventured out to one of my favorite locations, the Vezer winery.  I love the building and wine barrels there, they really make  nice backdrops.

Mom wanted to capture her little one at 6 mos. and what a success!  Miss A is such a happy baby and so easy to photograph.

Just look at that face!

I  loved the cowboy hat and the little boots with fringe were just too cute.

This was so funny.  She tried so hard to look behind to find mom and dad while I was posing her then she finally realized where they were.

Priceless!

What a fun session, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

I love when the mustard starts blooming in the valley creating an endless sea of yellow.  When I notice the first sign of these blooming beauties I keep a close eye on them until a full field has popped up and jump at the first opportunity to photograph in them.

I met another sweet family for a family/maternity shoot.  This time we met at the UC Davis Arboretum, another great location for photo shoots!  I can imagine what this place looks like in Spring when all the flowers are in full bloom and in the fall when the leave start changing colors!  It was a nice afternoon as we walked along chatting and shooting.  It was a pleasure meeting this family,  hopefully I will get another chance to photograph them when the little one is born.

Funshine is Back!

What a gorgeous weekend we had in Northern California. My friend from work, her daughter and I got together for a practice shoot. Perfect spring-like weather too bad our rainy season isn’t over yet, what a tease…We had fun enjoying the sunshine and walking along a little beach..Thanks for being such good sports and letting me shoot you!

We had to get creative with this little one her attention for the camera was fading fast.  Here she’s riding her magical dragon..
