Patriotic Engagement

July 30, 2011

What an honor it was to photograph such a beautiful couple for their engagement.  They were so cute in front of the camera which made my job easy.

A Salute To Our Soldiers

I see you standing among them all

Standing so strong, proud and tall

The world looks at you, but does not see

Everything you sacrifice to keep us free

I’m here to say, to let you know

That you are loved, even if it doesn’t show

You fight for our hopes, dreams and liberty

You fight for our freedom…A hero to be

We want you to know, your never alone

For we are waiting, for you to come home

But the hardest thing for a person to be

Is you…A SOLDIER, fighting

To keep us free.

And it got a little steamy….

The shoes, aren’t they purdy…

Thanks guys, it was so much fun, looking forward to the  big day!

Sweetness x 3…

April 21, 2011

I always enjoy meeting new clients and their darling little ones.  I had the pleasure of meeting these three adorable girls last weekend.  This session was fun, however, challenging.  A lesson learned, when shooting 3 toddlers stick to one location, 2 max…  I have to give kudos for moms and grandma for hanging in there as I drug them around the valley.  That being said, I love how these images in the orchard came out, so soft and springy.  Enjoy!

I just love these dimples!

Spring mini session

March 28, 2011

I love when the mustard starts blooming in the valley creating an endless sea of yellow.  When I notice the first sign of these blooming beauties I keep a close eye on them until a full field has popped up and jump at the first opportunity to photograph in them.

Cupcake Anyone?

February 21, 2011

Who can’t resist a delicious cupcake, especially one from this place.  These cupcakes are so heavenly with flavors ranging from pb ripple, knock your socks off, ooh lala and my personal favorite lemonata.  I’m not big on cupcakes but since specialty cupcakes are becoming the lastest trend or fad with cupcake bakeries all over the country I had to try them out for myself and I have to say they were yummy.

Autumn Beauty

December 2, 2010
Back in October I had a crazy idea to shoot in a cemetery but I wasn’t sure who would be up for something like this.  My trusty model and daughter declined the offer for fear we would disturb someone and have them follow us home.  Finally my niece said she was up for the job and an awesome job she did!  But first I wanted to take advantage of the beautiful autumn colors before they were gone so without further adue…

I love how the branches seem to be forming a heart…

And the others…..

Ghostly images inspired by one of my favorite photographers Kamee June.   I just love reading her blog, it’s always so entertaining.
I only have a few to share because this type of editing is so time consuming  but I had fun trying something new =)

I love this old graveyard, it is so beautiful..It was interesting reading the headstones many of them dating back to the 17 and 1800′s!

And some vintage…

Macro Morning

August 25, 2010

Macro photography is amazing…I love how you can see all the finest details on the simpelest things.  While I was watering my flowers this morning I saw something beautiful..So I rushed in the house grabbed the camera, the gorilla pod, wireless remote and changed lenses.  Here’s what I got.

And this little guy was one of my first victims, mwahhhh…

Vintage and Zebra Print

July 29, 2010

I know, it’s been a while since posting.  I’m so bad at blogging I sometimes think it’s just  not for me…Oh well, here it goes.   I was so excited, I got a new chair!  Zebra print, how cool is that!   So, of course, I loaded it up and my daughter and I drove down the road to try it out.  We found this cute little vinyard, shhhh, I know we were trespassing but I don’t think anybody cared or atleast I hope not.    It was just before the “golden hour” which in photographers terms is 1 hr before sunset or 1 hr after sunrise…The sun was setting and the colors were magical…

Our attempt to have a family shoot wasn’t flying with little miss E.  It was hot, late and some strange lady in your face doesn’t help, lol..Being a mom myself and knowing how stressful it is getting your little one to cooperate for pictures,  it was  decided to try an earlier time of day…  Hopefully little miss E is more of a morning person.  I can’t wait to get some more shots of those big brown eyes…

I was honored to do my first Senior shoot for my friend Stacey and her Son Darin. I felt comfortable and relaxed for my first senior being it was someone I knew, I wish I could feel as relaxed with every shoot. I guess in time, as I get to be a more confident photographer these insecurities will disappear. Thanks for letting me be a part of this special time and congratulations to Darin and the class of 2010!
